Bryan McGovern Wilson is a transdisciplinary artist whose projects explore the intersections of deep time, ritual, and cosmology. Our perceptions are limited and our memories are short, but humans compensate for these limitations through traditions of art and craft. Wilson’s work is guided by questions about how knowledge is encoded, stored, and transmitted through enduring materials and patterns.
Collaboration is a key element to his practice. Working intimately with experts within and outside of the traditional spheres of art and craft, Wilson reveals the deep, yet hidden connections between the disciplines of science, magic, and storytelling.
