Trinity Pilgrimage02010 Two times a year, the United States opens up the Trinity Nuclear Test Site to the general public.

In 02010, dressed as Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, I drove from Stevensville, MT to New Mexico with my mother.

I was hunting for “trinitite”: the glass residue left behind on the desert floor from the first detonation of an atomic weapon.
Site specific performance.

Polaroid transfers on watercolor paper and trinitite.

Approx. 7in x 5in
